ABOUT THE CLUB
The Wessex Border Collie Club was founded in February 2003.
However, prior to this, the club had been known as the Central Southern Branch of the Border Collie Club of Great Britain, which was started in 1989/1990 by Pam Harris and Vicky Gray. The first committee meeting was held in January 1990. Pam Harris was elected Chairperson, the rest of original committee being Barbara Bridge, Ron Bridge, Jackie Bromwich, Sylvie Derrick, Bernie Gray, Vicky Gray, Alan Harris, Norman Haydock and Pat Haydock.
In 2003, after much careful deliberation, the committee decided that the Branch should become a Club in its own right...and so the Wessex Border Collie Club was born.
The objects of the Wessex Border Collie Club are to promote and encourage the responsible ownership, breeding, working and showing of Border Collies.
New members are always welcome, wherever they may live. Please contact either the Secretary or the Treasurer for further details, or click on the following link to download the membership form in pdf format. You may need to install the free Adobe Reader to access the form once downloaded.
